Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Plant Patrol in Auburn, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing and industrial buildings, production areas, yards, and perimeter routes as assigned.
  • Perform access control activities such as checking identification, managing visitor sign-in, and directing deliveries to designated receiving areas according to site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and other security-related systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions for follow-up.
  • Complete routine inspections of doors, gates, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document observations, incidents, and service requests in daily activity reports and incident reports, and communicate updates during shift handoff.
  • Support site operations by assisting with traffic control, truck entry and exit flow, and pedestrian routing during peak shipping and receiving periods as directed.
  • Follow post orders for emergency and incident response, including fire panel alerts, medical calls, and evacuation support when directed.
  • Maintain a professional presence, follow all Allied Universal and location policies, and report maintenance hazards and/or damaged property observed during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
