As a Security Officer - Flex - Distribution Site - Access Control in Fort Worth, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity using computer-based tools, and complete clear, timely reports. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while delivering responsive customer service to visitors and team members. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the distribution location by verifying identification, checking credentials, and directing visitors, vendors, and contractors to the proper check-in process.
  • Operate the access control post by monitoring entry and exit points, issuing and collecting visitor badges, and maintaining access logs per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other access control systems to identify irregular activity and help to deter unauthorized entry and policy violations.
  • Screen incoming deliveries and outbound shipments as required, including verifying documentation and coordinating with dock personnel on controlled access procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Document daily activities, access events, and incident details in written reports and electronic systems as required.
  • Support emergency and evacuation procedures by assisting with access point control, traffic flow, and accountability processes as directed by site policy.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, drivers, and guests to provide directions, answer questions, and support site rules related to access and movement through the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
