Job Description




As a Security Officer in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a leading tech and media location, you will complete vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related concerns, and respond to calls for assistance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and provide customer service with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and media environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, access control concerns, and/or suspicious activity, and escalate per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including parking areas, building entrances, loading and receiving areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, including checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to appropriate destinations per site policy.
  • Perform rounds to check doors, gates, and critical areas for signs of damage, forced entry, or unusual conditions, and report concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Observe and report security-related activity using established communication channels, including radio, phone, and/or written logs, and coordinate with local responders when directed.
  • Complete detailed reports for incidents, patrols, and daily activity, including documenting observations, actions taken, and follow-up notifications in accordance with site requirements.
  • Operate site systems as assigned, which may include CCTV monitoring, alarm panels, and access control platforms, and notify appropriate personnel when alerts occur.
  • Support workplace conduct and site rules by providing clear directions, de-escalating conflicts when possible, and requesting additional assistance when needed.
  • Assist with special events, deliveries, and contractor movements by monitoring designated routes, managing access to restricted areas, and maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • - CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • - Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • - At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
