As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine foot patrols to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will remain visible, support access control, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors while providing strong customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and associates by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and Allied Universal post orders.
• Carry out security-related screening and access control for employees, contractors, and delivery drivers, including verifying identification, checking authorization, and issuing badges and/or visitor passes when required.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic at gates and/or entrances, support orderly vehicle flow, and direct drivers to designated staging, check-in, and dock areas per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the warehouse, yards, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Perform security-related rounds within operational areas such as shipping and receiving zones, trailer rows, and dock doors, watching for unsecured doors, propped exits, and other policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Document security-related activities, patrol observations, incidents, and shift turnover information in written logs and/or electronic reporting systems.
• Assist with alarm response and basic access system monitoring as directed by site procedures, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas when alerts occur.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including calling for medical aid, coordinating with local responders, and guiding occupants to designated assembly areas per site instructions.
• Provide security-related presence during high-traffic periods such as shift changes, trailer drop and hook activity, and peak shipping windows.
• Maintain professional communication via radio, phone, and/or other approved methods with site contacts, dispatch, and Allied Universal leadership.
• Working environments and conditions may vary by location, including indoor warehouse areas and outdoor yard patrols in changing weather conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
