You will patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests for assistance. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, operational areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
- Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, credentials, and/or authorized access lists; direct visitors and deliveries to proper locations.
- Monitor alarms, radios, and surveillance systems as assigned; communicate notable activity to appropriate personnel and/or dispatch.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation; report hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual activity through the established chain of command.
- Perform vehicle patrols and/or foot patrols to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism, and/or other prohibited activity.
- Support government facility operations by enforcing posted rules, conducting security-related inspections of doors, gates, and sensitive areas, and/or verifying closures at shift change.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required; preserve the scene for responding authorities and document observations per post orders.
Minimum Requirements: - - Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security-related experience OR a college degree.
- - Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- - Be 21+ years of age.
- - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- - CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- - Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- - Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
