As a Security Officer - Defense Patrol Driver in Rockford, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will complete routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, access concerns, and customer requests with clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas, verifying credentials, supporting visitor processing, and directing individuals according to site procedures.
• Perform vehicle and/or package observations as directed by post orders, documenting findings and escalating concerns per site procedures.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, investigating activations and reporting results.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs with clear, accurate details, using required systems and/or forms.
• Support protection of sensitive areas by following restricted access procedures and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related issues, work orders, and follow-up actions.
• Participate in drills, briefings, and required training, applying post orders and instructions during routine operations and emergency situations.
• Provide presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• - Be at least 21 years of age.
• - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• - A guard card/license is preferred.
• - Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
