Job Description




As a Security Officer - Bank Rover in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver customer service with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verifying authorization for entry, issuing visitor credentials when required, and directing individuals to the appropriate location.
  • Observe and report unusual conditions, potential hazards, and/or policy violations, and promptly notify site leadership and/or appropriate responders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance with de-escalation and coordinating with management and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Complete detailed shift activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation according to Allied Universal and location requirements.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems when assigned, and take appropriate action based on established post orders.
  • Assist with opening and/or closing procedures, including checking doors, windows, and restricted areas for proper status.
  • Provide a visible presence in high-traffic areas such as lobbies, ATM areas, and customer service zones to help to deter misconduct and support an orderly environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, and visitors, using radios, phones, and/or written logs to relay relevant information.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
