Job Description




As a Security Officer in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor guidance with strong customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, document observations, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas as applicable.
  • Perform access control and monitor visitor and/or vendor activity in accordance with site requirements, including checking credentials and directing traffic flow.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, reporting unusual activity and/or maintenance issues through the proper channels.
  • Complete routine rounds and inspections to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or unauthorized access, and report hazards or irregular conditions to site contacts.
  • Write clear, timely reports and incident documentation, including shift activity logs and notifications to supervision as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, guests, and first responders, providing directions and assistance while following site policies.
  • Support emergency response procedures for events such as medical situations, fire alarms, and severe weather, including coordinating notifications and/or access for responders.
  • Follow post orders and Allied Universal guidelines, including use of radios, phones, and other equipment to maintain situational awareness.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
