Job Description




As a Security Officer - Data Center Screener in Fall River, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and deliveries, and maintain clear communication with employees and guests. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, conduct routine rounds of assigned areas, and document activity with attention to detail. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct entry screening at designated access points, including verifying identification, checking credentials, issuing temporary badges when directed, and directing people to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Screen bags, parcels, and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders, including the use of screening equipment when assigned and permitted, and documenting exceptions per site procedure.
  • Control access through gates, turnstiles, and/or screening lanes by monitoring for unauthorized entry attempts and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and/or access control systems to help identify suspicious activity, policy violations, and other security-related concerns, and report findings per site procedure.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting medical, fire, and/or law enforcement assistance as needed.
  • Complete routine patrols of assigned areas around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities, including maintaining accurate logs for screening activity, access issues, and visitor interactions.
  • Communicate professionally with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision regarding changing conditions, special events, and/or heightened screening requirements.
  • Support loss prevention and workplace conduct expectations by observing for prohibited items, unauthorized removal of property, and/or policy violations, and notifying the appropriate contacts per procedure.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
