Job Description




As a Security Officer - Tech Facility - Full Time in Wilmer, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, communicate clearly with teams and visitors, and deliver customer service aligned with Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a Valid Driver's License AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the technology, media and telecom location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading and delivery zones and perimeter points.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Observe and report unusual activity, hazards and maintenance concerns, notifying site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
  • Complete routine security-related reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports and patrol documentation in a clear and timely manner.
  • Support employee, contractor and visitor directions and de-escalate conflicts when appropriate while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Assist with emergency procedures such as alarms, evacuations, severe weather protocols and/or medical response support per site-specific instructions.
  • Monitor security-related systems when assigned, such as CCTV, alarms and access control consoles, and report irregularities per post orders.
  • Coordinate with local emergency responders and/or site management during incidents and critical situations, following established communication and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
