As a Security Officer - Armed Roving Patrol in Naples, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle-area patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, clear communication. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related gear in accordance with Allied Universal post orders, applicable training, and all local and state requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Control access at entrances and restricted areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials as directed, and directing visitors to appropriate departments.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, and/or medical situations, and request additional assistance when needed.
- Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and activity logs with clear, accurate details, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems when assigned, and report maintenance or operational issues through the proper channels.
- Coordinate with site representatives and local public responders as directed by post orders, including assisting with scene control and/or perimeter management until relieved.
- Support orderly movement of people and vehicles on site, including directing foot traffic and/or vehicle flow during peak periods, special events, or restricted access situations.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct consistent with Allied Universal standards and the expectations of a public-sector environment.
Minimum Requirements: - An armed guard card/license is required.
- Be at least 21+ years of age.
- A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree with 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
