CLA is looking to hire an Internal Finance Senior Associate to join our Minneapolis team!

The Internal Finance Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and compliance of the company's internal accounting functions. Responsibilities may include cost and general accounting, financial reporting, treasury, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting and forecasting.

As an Internal Finance Senior Associate, you will:

  • Maintain the organization's general ledger, asset tracking schedules, liabilities, expenses, and revenues. Reconcile general ledger accounts and propose adjusting journal entries.

  • Assist with treasury management and cash flow. Analyze operational variances between current month, prior month and budget. Prepare and record system depreciation, monitor/track and capitalize labor and other expenses related to internal research & development projects, prepare reclassification and adjusted journal entries as needed.

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close. Prepare and review monthly accounting entries. Assist internal and/or external auditors with periodic auditing or the organization's financial records and statements.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies and procedures in accordance with company policies. Review project close-outs for proper documentation and reasonableness.

  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to consistently improve customer service. Maintain open communication with stakeholders regarding the status of projects.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, and/or accounting. Assist firm leadership various projects/tasks, as needed

What you will need:
  • A Bachelor's degree: Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

  • 3 years of relevant experience required.

  • Technical competencies include: Knowledge of accounting (GAAP), internal controls, and financial compliance requirements. Ability to foster teamwork. Excellent communication skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities and analytical thinking skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to meet deadlines. Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving business environment

Compensation Strategy

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.

The compensation range for this position in Minnesota is: $71,800.00 to $124,000.00
