Come join in on our purpose - We put people to work, we protect American freedoms, and we help our customer's power and improve the world! https://www.dayzim.com/services-and-products/maintenance-construction Day & Zimmermann is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our Welding Services team in support of an EPC Project in the nuclear power plant environment in Blackfoot, Idaho A QC Inspector is responsible for conducting in-process and final inspection of Code related activities. These activities may include, but are not limited to: welder qualification, receipt inspection of materials/equipment, welding material control, visual welding inspection and mechanical connections, nondestructive surface examinations, witnessing final testing and assist in the compilation of the final quality control records. In addition, the QCI shall perform inspections and verifications as defined in D&Z`s Quality Program or client requirements as specified in the contract. As the QC Inspector, here's the work you'll do: * Inspections of code related activities * Welder qualifications, receipt inspection of materials and equipment, welding material controls * Conducts visual welding connections, nondestructive surface examinations. * Witness final testing and assist in the compilation of the final quality control records * Perform inspections and verifications as defined in the D&Z`s Quality Program and provides recommended resolution of the identified quality issues. This role is for you if you have these skills: * Analytical ability to grasp key factors from detailed specifications * Effective verbal communication and report writing skills. * Working knowledge of construction industry Codes and Standards - Welding Processes * Good leadership capabilities to lead quality initiatives to successful completion * Basic knowledge of applicable software to compile quality process data. Familiar with the tools, concepts and methodologies of quality management And if you have these qualifications: * High School or Equivalent * 5 years Quality related Experience * AWS CWI and/or ASNT NDE Level II, minimum * Great attitude and team player. * Successful completion of background screening process * Experience working under an ASME NQA-1 Quality Assurance Program In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $87,000 - $ 144,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
