Description:
The Contracting Functional Analyst will be performing Functional Analyst and Business Analyst duties to support efforts. The Contract Functional Analyst will interact with all levels of the team and will provide input as a Contracting Subject Matter Expert.
The successful candidate will beperforming Functional and Business Analyst duties to support the defining project scope and objectives for complex custom software development.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides Subject Matter Expert contracting knowledge.
  • Builds, edits, and maintains the service desk backlog.
  • Prioritizes service desk tickets based on user value, time, and other team dependencies.
  • Provides priorities during Iteration Planning for service desk workstream.
  • Coordinates with Scrum Masters, Dev Teams, Product Manager Liaison, Government Product Manager, and Government Product Owner (when applicable).
  • Coordinates with Architecture team to vet architectural requests.
  • Coordinates with Government Product Owners to validate team backlog against service desk ticket trends.
  • Creates backlog items to address and define end user trends where identified.
  • Works across teams to define and implement process improvements based on Inspect and Adapt events.
Qualifications:
  • Acquisition experience with the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Experience with the entire contracting process, pre-award through post-award.
  • Understanding complex contracting internal and external rules, regulations, and policy.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert guidance to the team in contracting, compliance, and contractual relationships.
  • Familiarization with Procure to Pay Process and Data Standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Strong experience interacting with and understanding end user concerns, questions, and functional requests.
  • Presentation of end user trends and requirements findings and mockups for review with sponsors and end users.
Citizenship or Work Authorization Required:
  • Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance is required
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must pass a background investigation
Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering degree; or an Engineering degree from an accredited* institution. Required Certification:
  • In accordance with DOD Cyber Workforce Qualifications Matrices Management, Security+ is required for candidates that do not possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering degree; or a degree in Engineering from an accredited* institution. Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs.As required by local law, the posted pay range represents the lowest to the highest pay that Synergy believes in good faith it might pay for this particular job, depending on the circumstances. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $73,000.00 - $108,000.00.

Essential Job Function Physical Requirements: The physical requirements of this position are critical in evaluating the qualifications and abilities of an applicant or employee. The physical efforts needed to perform the essential duties of this job 90% of the time are repetitive motions, grasping, holding, and finger dexterity of the hands, reading, writing, eye-hand coordination, color distinction, and full visual abilities, hearing, talking, sitting, and use of IT equipment, phones, and office machines.

To a reduced degree, <30% of the time, candidates may have to stand, walk, lift 0-30 pounds, push or pull objects, climb stairs, bend, squat, reach, drive a car, or work overtime.
