The Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences is seeking a Director of Business Intelligence and Strategy (Program Manager) to join the Dornsife Advancement team, which is a large, dynamic, and collaborative team charged with increasing private support for the College's outstanding faculty, students, and programs. The team is committed to a culture of belonging through respectful dialogue, collaboration, and the cultivation of meaningful, long-term relationships with faculty, staff, alumni, and donors.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean and Chief Development Officer (CDO) for the College, the Director of Business Intelligence and Strategy will drive the creation of sustainable systems, processes, and data-informed solutions for a variety of stakeholders. This position is responsible for business intelligence strategy and leadership, including the comprehensive design, creation, and delivery of high-quality constituent information, data analysis, portfolio management strategy, and other key deliverables.

  • Design, develop and lead a comprehensive data analytics, information strategy, and prospect development program for the College
  • Serve as an executive advisor to the CDO on prospect strategy
  • Manage all data, systems, and reports related to stage, pipeline, and forecast reports for principal and major gifts, annual fund, corporate and foundation relations, etc.
  • Identify, evaluate and implement new tools, systems, and data visualization solutions to derive actionable insights
  • Lead campaign prospect development, including the creation and execution of a data-driven portfolio management strategy
  • Operationalize diversity, equity, and inclusion methods in prospect development and pipeline identification efforts
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaborations to identify continuous process improvement areas and develop procedures that support workflow, efficiency and productivity
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team focused on data management, information strategy, prospect development, strategic planning and solution delivery
  • Stay current on trends in prospect development and data analytics in collaboration with other schools, units, and external professional associations
  • Provide leadership and build roadmaps for strategic planning, execution, and solution delivery for external-facing programs, projects and strategic initiatives
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time

The annual base salary range for this position is $104,000 - $133,127. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer alignment, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
