Job Location: Tallahassee, FL (on-site)
Job Duration: Contract through June + extension (planned through June 2028)
Overview: Looking for a certified PMP (Project Manager Professional) focused on the delivery and implementation of finance and accounting applications in support of the Florida PALM project. The Contractor will be a part of a team comprised of a Technical Lead, two Business Analysts and three Developers that will spend most of the time consulting directly with the finance and accounting personnel while developing the line of business solutions. The Contractor will have the opportunity to work with the Microsoft technologies and solutions in enterprise-level environments.
The candidate will report to the Division of Information Technology, Application Development Manager. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate requirements in technical discussions with accounting and finance personnel and management to ensure the smooth operation of systems and deliver customized solutions. Position is on-site only.
Job Tasks and Activities:

• Manage the project efforts and the project team per schedule and plan.
• Provide professional project management services following all guidelines.
• Ensure that the project team is organized, adequately skilled and staffed, and working towards project and business objectives.
• Manage the project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and related items.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and action items.
• Prepare and maintain project artifacts that are necessary to run the project.
• Ensure the adequacy of project documentation.
• Assist in the review of contract deliverables and work products.
• Maintain communications with the Project Business Sponsor, Subject Matter Experts, IT, and staff resources to the project team.
• Ensure tasks assigned to the Florida PALM Project Team are completed by the deadline indicated in the Readiness Workplan - Smartsheet.com website.

Required Experience:

• Active Project Management Professional Certification.
• Five years of experience in managing information technology projects.
• Five years of experience in information systems development.
• Five years of experience in using Microsoft Project to track and maintain projects.
• Five years of experience in developing detailed project documentation for Executive Management.
• Five years of experience with state information security and risk management standards.
• Five years of experience in senior level project management.
• Three years of leadership experience.
• Five years of experience with agile methods and techniques.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated organizational skills in terms of project management, meeting facilitation and definition of solutions with the business.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to articulate business solutions, and communicate effectively with technical teams to develop and configure solutions.
• Strong competency in basic Microsoft 365 applications as well as Visio, Access, and MS Project.
