Our Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene (OS&IH) team is seeking a dynamic Safety Specialist within our Central Programs Group who has the ability to provide industry-leading support to the various CPCCo Projects across the plateau. The Central OS&IH Programs team develops, maintains, and verifies that the CPCCo is performing work safely in a manner consistent with company and DOE standards. A day in the life of a Programs Safety Specialist may include the following:
* Developing OS&IH related communications, presentations, and campaigns
* Acting as the Alternate Technical Authority over various OS&IH programs and sitewide committees
* Assisting OS&IH Program Technical Authorities with closing out corrective actions in the CPCCo contractor assurance software system
* Performing various OS&IH assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with requirements
* Supporting OS&IH Program Technical Authorities with maintaining and developing procedures, forms, trainings, etc.
* Developing and providing OS&IH presentations and training
* Leading Safety and Health inspections
* Supporting projects with performing OS&IH oversight of field activities
* Conducting industrial hygiene monitoring and sampling of field activities
* Performing OS&IH oversight on emergency preparedness drills


Basic Qualifications


Intermediate Grade 15: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 3 or more years of relevant experience

Career Level Grade 16: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 5 or more years of relevant experience

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.


Desired Qualifications


* Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, or other related fields
* Associate Safety Professional
* Graduate Safety Practitioner
* Certified Construction Health and Safety Technician
* Certified Occupational Health and Safety Technician


Compensation & Benefits


In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):

Intermediate Grade 15: $81,500 - $114,100
Career Level Grade 16: $81,500 - $125,250

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
