Description |
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing all functions necessary for plant maintenance in support of the overall site operations. The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks including preventive, scheduled, and emergency mechanical maintenance and is a multi-craft mechanic with an emphasis on rotating equipment. |

Role Specific Responsibilities:
Ensures workplace safety byparticipatingin the Behavior Based Safety Observations while practicing and following all site safety policies, guidelines, and procedures
Complies withall Aurorium Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures
Provides maintenance to plant utilities equipment and rotating equipment repairs including ANSI pump repair, mechanical seal installation/trouble shooting, alignment methods and bearing fits/tolerances
Performs centrifugal pump repair inclusive of mechanical seal installation and other rotating equipment repair involving gear reduction drives,agitatorsand blowers
Executesadditionalgeneral maintenance duties including industrial pipe fitting, heat exchanger repair, rigging/crane use, etc.
Identifies, diagnoses, and communicates issues that arise with equipment
Completes preventative maintenance duties and records critical informationappropriately
Maintains outstanding housekeeping and 5S
Performs daily activities independently (or with a team) with minimal supervision whilemaintainingcommunication with management
Performs other duties as assigned

- Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly

- Assists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Certification from accredited training institute preferred
Minimum four (4) years of related industrial maintenance experience in manufacturingrequired,chemical manufacturing experience preferred
Experience wearing required PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel toe shoes,glovesand a respirator
Demonstrated knowledge of rotating equipment repairs, specifically ANSI pump repair, mechanical seal installation/trouble shooting, alignment methods, bearing fits/tolerances, etc.
Ability toutilizedial indicator, calipers and other machinist measuring tools
Demonstrated knowledge of welded repair techniques for both structural and pipe materials
Proficiencywithin a CMMS for creating and completing work orders
Excellent understanding of safety practices, specifically LO/TO, JSA and best practices for maintenance tasks
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities
Self-motivated and ability to work within afast pacedenvironment
Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills
Ability to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as lifting,pushingor pulling objects up to 50 pounds, working outside in all weather conditions, climbing ladders, etc.
Willingness to work a non-standard shift, weekends, and/or overtimerequired
