The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate executive to serve as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Ambulatory Services and Clinical Operations. This leadership role holds responsibility across the enterprise for the strategy, performance, and future growth of ambulatory services and clinical operations throughout the full cancer continuum of care.

The SVP reports to the EVP, Hospital President, providing visionary leadership to a diverse management portfolio. This role guarantees outstanding patient access, smooth navigation, operational excellence, financial sustainability, and an excellent patient and employee experience. It plays a key role in advancing innovation, quality, and growth in a complex, fast-evolving cancer care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Executive Leadership

  • Offer strategic oversight and day-to-day leadership for ambulatory services and clinical functions throughout all outpatient facilities, including diagnostic, infusion, clinic, and treatment services.
  • Partner with executive leadership, department chairs, and clinical leaders to advance institutional goals
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on emerging trends, opportunities and risks

Ambulatory & Site Operations

  • Lead operations throughout all ambulatory centers in New York, New Jersey, and any locations planned for growth.
  • Ensure all outpatient locations are safe, efficient, compliant, financially viable, and patient- centered.

Patient Access, Navigation & Experience

  • Ensure care navigation is timely, compassionate, culturally sensitive, and aligned with the highest service standards, delivering a differentiated, consistently outstanding experience for patients and their families managing the cancer journey.

Operational Excellence & Performance Management

  • Optimize capacity management, asset utilization, and patient flow using performance metrics and benchmarks.
  • Ensure integration across clinical services, revenue cycle, coding, and technology platforms to support continuous improvement.

People

  • Build and sustain a high-performance culture grounded in compassion, accountability, and excellence.
  • Prioritize employee engagement by fostering a culture of psychological safety, teamwork, and professional growth.

Stewardship

  • Maintain accountability for operational and cost-center financial performance.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new programs, service lines, and care models.

  • Data-Driven Practice & Capacity Management: Proven skill in practice management, capacity planning, asset utilization, scheduling optimization, and performance measurement to improve access, efficiency, quality, and financial outcomes.
  • Financial & Operational Stewardship: Strong operational and financial acumen, including sustainable cost structures, regulatory compliance, and clinical revenue growth.
  • Collaboration, Influence & Innovation: Exceptional ability to partner with executive leaders, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and organizational alignment.

Compensation Range: $560k - $650k
