TRANSPORATION MANAGER OPPORTUNITIES! Hiring for both day and night shifts! We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled leader to step into a pivotal role managing all yard activities at a large-scale manufacturing plant. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing logistics, fostering a high-performance team, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. **What You'll Do:**
You will oversee essential operational functions, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance across all yard and shuttle activities. Your contributions will directly impact the smooth flow of materials, supporting production schedules and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role involves: **Operations Management:**
* Overseeing all yard, shuttle, and switching operations, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
* Managing and coordinating inbound/outbound shipments, including customer-owned returnable assets.
* Ensuring uninterrupted parts delivery to production lines in alignment with customer build schedules.
* Monitoring and maintaining yard inventory, trailer/container flow, and equipment usage.
* Assigning equipment and routes to drivers based on operational requirements, with the ability to assist with shuttle moves in time-critical situations.
**Safety & Compliance:**
* Implementing and enforcing safety guidelines and site-specific safety procedures.
* Conducting daily/weekly safety briefings and regular site audits.
* Ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and CTPAT standards, as well as plant-level safety/security requirements.
* Supervising proper trailer/container securing and material handling practices.
**People Leadership & Development:**
* Supervising, training, and coaching site supervisors, coordinators, and shuttle drivers.
* Providing continuous feedback and conducting formal performance reviews.
* Developing scalable processes and workforce capabilities to support future plant growth.
* Promoting a positive, safe, and high-performance team culture.
**Customer & Stakeholder Management:**
* Acting as the primary liaison with plant management and key stakeholders.
* Providing timely operational updates, resolving issues, and ensuring service excellence.
* Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and supporting plant launch/expansion activities.
**Financial & Reporting:**
* Preparing and submitting weekly invoices with supporting documentation.
* Monitoring P&L performance and ensuring variances remain within tolerance levels.
* Producing and analyzing operational reports to support strategic decision-making.
* Ensuring accurate and timely driver settlements.
* Tracking internal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for safety, timeliness, and efficiency, and reporting results to leadership.
**Facility & Equipment Management:**
* Overseeing yard cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with site security standards.
* Ensuring proper maintenance and mechanical integrity of all shuttle and yard equipment.
* Coordinating service providers for equipment repair and preventive maintenance schedules. **What You'll Bring:** **Must-Have Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
* 7 years of direct transportation/logistics experience, with 5 years of indirect support experience.
* Minimum 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and operational reporting tools.
* Proven experience managing trailer/container storage yards and shuttle operations.
* Strong leadership, communication, and coaching abilities.
* Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a high-volume environment.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Strong customer service mindset and collaborative approach. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:** * Language Requirement: Korean Bilingual - Preferred but not required
* 9 years of direct transportation/logistics experience, with 7 years of indirect support experience.
* 5+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.
