Exciting Senior Application Engineer (CAM) Opportunity with Hawk Ridge Systems!

(Must be able to work standard business hours with flexibility for customer engagements)

In this exciting role, you will play a critical role in supporting customers in the Subtractive Manufacturing space. As a Senior Application Engineer for our CAM team, you will leverage deep technical expertise and a customer-centric approach to deliver comprehensive engineering services that address complex challenges and optimize performance. In this role, you will collaborate closely with sales teams and customers to provide pre-sale and post-sale support such as technical demonstrations, consultative services, and advanced training.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN THE SENIOR CAM APPLICATION ENGINEER ROLE



  • Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical expertise during pre-sales activities
  • Conduct highly technical software demonstrations showcasing CAM capabilities
  • Deliver consultative Computer Aided Manufacturing services tailored to customer requirements
  • Consult with customers on various software packages for specific applications and requirements
  • Respond to complex customer inquiries through interactive 'Ask An Expert' sessions
  • Teach a wide range of CAM training courses
  • Generate marketing content to support product positioning and customer education
  • Participate in peer mentoring sessions and collaborate cross-functionally to drive innovation
  • Maintain technical expertise and achieve partner certifications in primary supported products
  • Approximate 30% travel and onsite customer visits may be required



WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE



  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent hands-on machining/programming experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in CAM programming, CNC machining, or related technical roles
  • Deep technical understanding of CAM software and subtractive manufacturing workflows
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for customer-facing engagements
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Hawk Ridge Systems has determined that the new hire salary range for this role is between $80,000 and $110K per year, with a small additional performance compensation plan for hitting goals. Your base pay will be based on a number of factors, including knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
