Job Type: RegularPay Range: $28.58 - $34.77 HourlyDepartment: District AttorneyFLSA Exemption Status: Non-ExemptAbout the Opportunity: The Washington County District Attorney's Office is currently seeking 2 full-time Legal Specialist IIs to join the Felony Team! The Trial Team provides criminal case support to the felony criminal prosecution trial team. The position provides highly skilled and journey-level legal support to designated attorneys, following applicable court rules and procedures and County office standards; prepares files and legal documents; manages discovery and digital evidence; and assists in criminal or civil trial preparation. Duties may also include case intake, case preparation assistance by managing police reports, providing copies to the defense, filing documents with the court, preparing subpoenas for victims and witnesses for various court appearances, and preparing files for court. This recruitment may be used to fill vacancies that become available within the next six months. Ideal Candidate Attention to detail is essential for this position and a high level of accuracy in work product is also a must for this challenging, high-volume workload. This is an extremely fast paced environment and the ability to multi-task and re-prioritize work based upon ever-changing deadlines is essential. Advanced knowledge of the legal field and criminal justice system is a plus. DA Office clerical and PbK case management system experience and knowledge are highly preferred.
