Summary:

The MWRA Finance Division has a paid Finance Intern position and is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform a variety of administrative tasks, and assist Finance staff in the creation of electronic database for archived documents. In addition, this position will support the Finance Division in a myriad of office related functions including, but not limited to, reception coverage, mail room support, copying, scanning, database creation, etc.

Posting Period: 1/21/2026 to 2/3/2026
Location: Deer Island (Winthrop), MA
Salary: $19 - $22 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation of an electronic database for various Finance archived documents.
• Assists in the dissemination and implementation of administrative policies and procedures.
• Supports all routine administrative functions including organizing records and creating electronic records of correspondence, filing, copying, reception, etc.
• Development of spreadsheets to support special analysis.
• Assist with processing of weekly payroll.

Required Qualifications

• Familiarity with scanning software/applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and accomplish task with minimal supervision.
• Pursuit of a college degree.
• Internship duration May - August.
