POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a fast-paced, physically demanding, entry-level position at a cargo airline with over 65 years of continuous operation. The role is divided between Ramp and Warehouse environments. We are seeking detail-oriented, safety-minded individuals to join our 24-hour cargo operation.

COMPENSATION & BENFITS



  • Hourly Rate: $20.25 per hour.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring they are directed to correct destinations.
  • Operations: Perform cargo breakdown, build-up, and tie-down into Unit Load Devices (ULD) manually or using forklifts.
  • Equipment: Operate powered and non-powered equipment including K-loaders, belt loaders, tugs, and electric pallet jacks.
  • Documentation: Accurately process customer paperwork, perform data entry, and label cargo.
  • Safety & Security: Conduct security inspections for Dangerous Goods and strictly adhere to all regulatory guidelines.


REQUIREMENTS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS



  • Physical Effort: This is a Heavy demand position. Must regularly lift 50 lbs and push/pull 100 lbs.
  • Work Environment: Exposure to adverse weather (heat, cold, ice) and working near moving aircraft.
  • Compliance: Must possess a valid driver's license with a good record and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Schedule: Flexibility to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays, and varied shifts.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 18 years old.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to prioritize daily workload and duties effectively.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to frequent changes in the workplace.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays, and days off as needed.
  • Compliance with Company uniform requirements, including high visibility outerwear provided by the company.
  • Approved safety footwear is required.
  • A basic understanding of cargo operations is preferred.


LANGUAGES AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Proficient verbal and basic written communication skills.
