Iridium is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer II to join our Government Programs Solutions Engineering Team on a Space Development Agency (SDA) project. As a Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer, you will work on the high-fidelity physics-based and requirements-based modeling for analysis of space and ground network systems. You will use state-of-the-art simulation tools and data-driven analysis to support system design, integration, testing, operations, and troubleshooting. Perform simulations and analyses that ensure system designs meet technical performance targets. Analyses may include satellite or ground system design, optical or radio frequency link budgets, network connectivity and capacity, or other operational scenarios. What You'll Need to Succeed:
Work Environment:
This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse and printer. For in-person meetings, this position will need to be able stand, walk within the office and climb stairs on occasion.
