About the Role

The Commercial Advertising team isseekingan outgoing, enthusiastic career builder interested in taking the next step in their marketing/advertising sales career.This candidate wouldbe responsible forsupporting our client's growth through consultation and sales of our clinical advertising solutions.

AsaSeniorAccount Executive, you will contribute to our display advertising sales revenues. Reporting to the Global Head of Clinical Promotions, you will work closely with the regional sales team to sell digital and content advertising solutions across our expansive portfolio of market-leading medical publications.

This role is based in ourNew Yorkoffice, on a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales ofcommercialadvertisingprojectswithin a designated territory acrosstheprint and onlineportfolioto the clinical business

  • Achieve sales targets by building productive long-term business relationships and generating new business potential within the designated geographic territory

  • Develop andmaintaina high standard of visibility within the designated sales territory

  • Grow anddevelop alist ofaccounts toestablishclose interaction between businesses and to understand their structures and strategiesin order tostrengthen relationships and increase spend

  • Achieve andmaintaina high levelof sales calls and external sales activity

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a culture of success,excellence, and continuous development

  • Develop andmaintainclose relationships with commercial teamswithinSpringer Natureand other departments as appropriate

  • Develop a strong understanding of our business segments, the competitiveenvironment, and stay informed of the latest trends and developments. Take advantage of this knowledge to propose business opportunities for the team

  • Attend industry events and make on-site visits to clients as required by the business

  • Maintainaccuratesales records and effective administration usingSalesforceand other specified tools asrequired.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

Essential

  • 2 years' sales or sales support experience with a focus on business development with some account management experience

  • Results oriented,competitiveand able to rapidly assimilate information

  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to quickly develop rapport over the phone, in-person, or via email

  • Clear thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages

  • Proficiencywith Salesforce, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook)

  • Ability to travel (approximately 10%)

Desirable

  • Working with and selling to healthcare agencies

  • Experience with lead-generation and high-volume business development

  • Solution-based sales experience articulating value over competing on price

  • Presentation experience to individuals and/or groups in-person or via video conferencing

  • Working knowledge of Zoom Info, LinkedIn Sales Navigator

US Annualized Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000. This role is eligible for a quarterly sales bonus plan. The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, skill level, and equity. The US salary range does not align with the salary ranges in other countries when converted to the currency of that country.
