Position Title: Drum Operator

Drum Operator Responsibilities: - Operate industrial coloring and retanning drums according to production schedules - Follow written color and retan formulas exactly, without deviation - Weigh, measure, and add chemicals, dyes and auxiliaries into drums - Load and unload hides from drums - Monitor drum cycles, temperatures, timing and process conditions - Identify and report issues related to color, process control or equipment - Maintain accurate batch identification and required production documentation - Follow all safety, environmental, and chemical handling procedures - Work in accordance with all applicable union rules, procedures and agreements - Communicate clearly with supervisors, lab, and production staff Qualifications for Drum Operator: - Ability to lift, carry and handle materials weighing 50 lbs or more - Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods - Comfortable working in a wet, chemical-based industrial environment IND010 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
