Position Title: Entry-Level Maintenance Tech
Wage: $18-$22/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday QPS is looking for an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician in Elkhorn, WI! This is a great opportunity for someone who's mechanically inclined and ready to build a long-term career in maintenance. You'll gain exposure to equipment maintenance, facilities support, and preventative maintenance-all while working with a team that values safety, training, and reliability. Entry-Level Maintenance Tech Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Assist with basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of production equipment and facility systems - Support maintenance of machinery, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and building structures under supervision - Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks as assigned - Help document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment updates - Assist with organizing and maintaining spare parts and maintenance supplies - Inspect and help maintain lighting, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, air compressors, forklifts, and general facility equipment - Support small facility projects, equipment moves, and shop floor layout adjustments - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment - Follow and support compliance with OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations - Learn proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures through hands-on training - Assist with material handling when needed - Support production line operations as required Entry-Level Maintenance Tech Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous maintenance, mechanical, or trade-related experience preferred - Technical training, vocational coursework, or hands-on mechanical experience is a plus - Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude - Willingness to learn troubleshooting and repair techniques - Ability to follow instructions and work safely - Basic computer skills for documentation and communication - Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills - Basic math skills - Preferred exposure to electrical systems (including 480V) - Preferred basic welding experience (MIG or stick) - Preferred forklift experience or certification QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
