Position Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist Wage: Based on Experience We are partnering with a well-established organization on the east side of Kansas City, MO to staff an Accounts Receivable Specialist position. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate customer invoicing, timely collections, and daily cash reconciliation while supporting overall accounting operations. This is a fully onsite, direct hire role with full-time M-F office hours with a very strong compensation and benefit package. Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities: - Create customer invoices, process credit memos, and ensure accurate pricing, freight and tax details - Apply customer payments, prepare daily bank deposits and complete cash reconciliations - Audit daily sales orders for credit limits, purchase orders, payment terms, sales tax and billing accuracy - Monitor and resolve open sales orders, returns, past-due accounts and credit balances - Verify customer credit applications, assess creditworthiness and maintain sales tax exemption certificates - Prepare monthly customer statements and bi-weekly sales commission reports - Provide backup support to AP Specialist and Receptionist as needed Requirements for Accounts Receivable Specialist: - At least two years of experience in accounts receivable - Post-secondary education in accounting or related field preferred - Experience with accounting software and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills - Able to multitask, manage priorities and meet deadlines If interested in this AR Specialist position in Kansas City, MO, please apply now.
