The Reactor Operator Trainee supports safe and efficient production of adhesive and chemical products at H.B. Fuller's Troy, MI facility (formerly ND Industries). This on-site, entry-level role involves operating processing equipment, handling materials, and completing quality checks under supervision. The position offers hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment with structured training.

Reactor Operator Trainee

Troy, Mi/ On-Site

1st Shift - 7:00a - 3:30pm

Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepare, stage, and transfer raw materials and packaging per batch instructions
  • Operate and monitor reactors and processing equipment per SOPs
  • Measure and add specified material quantities to vessels
  • Perform initial product testing and document results against specifications
  • Label, package, palletize, and transport finished goods
  • Record production and quality data accurately in required systems
  • Clean, inspect, and maintain equipment and work areas
  • Communicate process deviations, safety concerns, or equipment issues
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing or production experience
  • Ability to read instructions, perform basic math, and interpret simple charts
  • Ability to safely operate or be trained to operate a forklift/HI-LO
  • Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in chemical, adhesive, or batch manufacturing
  • Prior forklift certification
  • Familiarity with GMP, EHS, or regulated quality standards
  • Experience maintaining production or quality records

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $20.00-$21.00.
