Commercial
Construction Field Technology Engineer
The
Field Technology Engineer (FTE) is an integral part of the project team
responsible for providing technical field support and setup across multiple project
sites.
Essential
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate
3D Scanner and Total Station. - Coordinate
with job site to schedule when Scanning and Total Station work will be required. - Establish
a POC for each project to coordinate field IT needs with. - Operate
Navisworks and Clear Edge 3D software to coordinate information gathered during
scans and total station location. - Manage
setup and takedown of CWC's Cameras on job sites; maintain and manage all job
site cameras through the life of the project. - Manage
the Rhombus license package for each camera. - Assist
with job site internet connection set up. - Assist
teams with OpenSpace software setup and management. Train and assist team
members on using OpenSpace software for the project site. - Verify
job sites and team office setups are correctly branded with CWC marketing
materials. Coordinate with Marketing team on gathering appropriate CWC signage,
banners, fence screens and stickers for each job site setup. - Gather
photo and video footage of jobs sites while on site. - Coordinate
with IT department on required equipment needed for each job site. - Track
IT equipment on site. - Assist
site teams with IT issues. - Contribute
to CWC's best in class safety culture by developing an understanding of the
Corporate Safety Plan and Site-Specific Safety Plan.
Qualifications
- Experience in the commercial construction industry is
required. - Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management,
Engineer or related field is a plus. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 required; experience in
Procore, Navisworks, and BIM preferred. - Passionate, self-motivated, and dedicated to high-quality
work. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to access and prioritize multiple tasks, projects
and demands. - Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Job Demands
Individuals should be able to reach
above and below, stoop and bend, sit, walk, and stand. Individuals should also
be able to lift, carry and/or moving items up to 75lbs. May be exposed to
heavy machinery/equipment, hazardous chemicals, and extreme weather
conditions. Minimum of 40 hours per week required. Works hours will vary
depending on project requirements and may involve weekends and night
work.
