Occupational Therapist
The Mercyhealth Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit is dedicated to serving patients who are suffering from acute mental illnesses and medically monitor withdrawal. There are between six to twelve patients within the unit at one time and staffing is appropriately aligned. This team demonstrates their passion for making lives better by providing care in a safe environment through assessment of needs, individual and group intervention, development of trusting rapport, de-escalation as needed and development of a discharge plan. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, planning and implementation of a treatment plan addressing the functional needs of a variety of patient diagnoses.
