As a Airworthiness Support Engineer with MTSI you will perform activities associated with system safety requirements, planning, integration, design review, airworthiness assessment, and technical risk management for mutli-domain systems, and recommend solutions.This position will be located in the National Capital Region (NCR). Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: Development and management of system hazard analyses and risk assessments Initiate, supervise, and/or develop requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs Provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues Consult with client to define need or problem Supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice Required Experience: 15+ years' experience working on Air Force platforms Technical & regulatory experience in achieving airworthiness certification Familiarization with and fulfillment of requirements in AFI 62-601 (USAF Airworthiness Certification), DoDI 5030.61 (DoD Airworthiness Policy), and MIL-STD-882E (System Safety) System configuration management experience Education Requirements: Bachelor Degree in a related field Master's Degree DESIRED Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI with current or previous SAP #mtsi #100esop #defenddifferently #LI-LS1 Interesting Work: Our co-workers support some of the most important and critical programs to our national defense and security.
