Shipping Supervisor

Job Purpose:

The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily activities for Arista DOF shipping functions of all outgoing products for Arista's end customers, managing all aspects of shipping and transferring 39k items per week or 7.8k items a day, verifying and recording information related to outgoing shipments, and providing leadership to shipping personnel.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to, activities related to the shipping of materials or finished goods while ensuring all system transactions in Arista's (Net suite) and Sanmina's (Oracle) ERPs are properly executed.
• Ensures materials are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner.
• Assure all required materials are shipped the same day scheduled with carries and transacted in the system as soon as the goods are delivered to the carrier.
• Deals with carriers to make sure materials pickup are adequately scheduled and that the materials handling meets customer requirements.
• Ensures the security, accuracy, and accountability of materials and finish goods with inventory control.
• Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures.
• Maintains documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities.
• Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Oversees the staff in physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping process.
• Works with the personnel under him to make sure facility policies including quality, safety, conduct and attendance.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Candidate must have at least 5 years of experience managing processes and people on any of the key warehouse flow functions, materials handling, receiving, MRB, stockroom, inventory control, shipping.
• Must be proficient with ERP (Oracle, Net suite or SAP), Microsoft Office, desirably with Google Suite.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisor experience.
• Crating and overpacking experience preferred.
• FedEx, UPS, International shipments, and commercial invoices experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Must be a team player and capable of interacting with multiple groups both internal and external customers.
• Must be flexible with schedule changes and work extended hours when required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Salary Range (annual): $70,304 - $80,000
