Job Description

This role (i) coordinates, maintains and administers cost/price information used in cost and estimating systems, (ii) supports and analyzes cost activities aligned with establishing customer selling prices for new business proposals, contract renewals, and price adjustment formulas, and (iii) performs financial analysis to quantify the impact of such things as changes in price, profitability of product additions/loses, and exit business decisions for a division/plant.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their first priority
  • Coordinate, review and assist in analyzing production report information for establishment of setup time, run speed and associated wastes for equipment and processes for cost system and quote system updates
  • Maintain various quoting/costing systems including updates of machine hour rates, billing of materials, machine routings, and raw material costs
  • Assist and provide support for developing a new Amcor cost estimating system to support market pricing actives and eliminate numerous antiquated quoting systems
  • Assist in training new uses or current and future cost estimating systems
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities for productivity and profitability improvements
  • Coordinate, review and assist in reviews of specification cost changes due to raw material fluctuations for market price increase/decrease support
  • Provide bid support by working with the business segments on timely completion of all bid activity (support bid cost models)
  • Develop and maintain some intercompany transfer pricing
  • Provide costing support for marketing (ie. how to quote new projects)
  • Prepares and maintains monthly sales reports using Business Objects/EDW with support from IT. Confirms report accuracy prior to publishing to sales department
  • Compiles Sales, On-Time, Quality, reports in a timely and accurate manner and distributes to field sales/ National Account Managers on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Manage backend system tables (Vendavo, Vault) and data to ensure data integrity
  • Maintain PAF house to report out the impact of our PAFs on the business. Ensure data is complete and accurate.
  • Act as a system trainer for BOE, EDW, Vendavo, Pandora etc
  • Demonstrate accuracy and timeliness
  • Identify performance trends and opportunities for productivity/profitability improvements.
