Job Description

This role is essential in ensuring that products meet rigorous quality standards and comply with all regulatory requirements. The primary responsibility is to ensure that every raw material entering the facility meets quality and safety standards before reaching the production line. This position splits time between the warehouse floor (sample collection) and the laboratory (analytical testing).

Key Functions Sampling & Collection
  • Physically pull representative samples of incoming raw materials (liquids, powders, or solids) from the warehouse or receiving docks following strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Analytical Testing
  • Conduct physical and chemical tests, including but not limited to:
    • Moisture content and pH levels
    • Viscosity and density testing
    • Particle size analysis
    • Purity and identification checks using laboratory instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, FTIR)
Documentation
  • Maintain precise, real-time records of all test results in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) or manual logbooks.
Compliance
  • Ensure all activities adhere to safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO standards.
Equipment Maintenance
  • Perform routine calibration and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to ensure data accuracy.
Inventory Management
  • Monitor laboratory supply levels.
  • Assist with proper labeling and storage of "Quarantined" versus "Released" materials.
Education Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science field.
Experience & Skills
  • Experience: 1-3 years in a manufacturing or QC lab environment (preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with basic laboratory tools (pipettes, scales, titrators) and data entry software.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods during sampling rounds.
