JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Penn State Berks invites applications for the opening of part-time Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach. Penn State Berks is an NCAA Division III institution and a member of the United East Conference. Job Duties Responsibilities include day-to-day operations, coaching and conditioning of athletes, practice and game preparation, and team travel. The Head Coach will develop and implement a comprehensive recruiting and retention program as well as perform organizational tasks as assigned by the Director of Athletics. The Head Coach will also be responsible for understanding and maintaining compliance with NCAA and United East rules and regulations. Requirements and Qualifications Successful playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate level is preferable. Previous recruiting preferred. The successful candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of the sport and the ability to communicate well with team players. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the academic and athletic success of the student-athlete, and to the highest of ethical standards. A bachelor's degree, previous playing and/or coaching experience, and availability for practice and competition are required. May require the ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold. BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
