We are presently seeking aSenior Fabrication Process Engineer who will sustain and improve fabrication processes for the successful execution of production optics manufacturing.

Main Responsibilities




  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert for optical component fabrication processes.



  • Create and improve documentation for the manufacturing of optical components.



  • Provide hands-on engineering support and train technicians on fabrication process execution.



  • Monitor and drive improvement of production fabrication processes and equipment using SPC.



  • Support troubleshooting of existing fabrication processes.



  • Review, disposition, and reduce non-conforming material.



  • Assist in the transfer of optical fabrication process technologies from R&D to production.



  • Identify, justify, and qualify new equipment into production.



  • Perform other duties as assigned.




Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (Physics, Optics, etc.)



  • 10+ years of optical component fabrication experience desirable.



  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or other CAD software desirable.



  • Proficiency with SPC desirable.



  • Experience with optical alignment and bonding desirable.

Pay Range: $105,000 - 155,000 per year, depending on experience.
