Job Title: Buyer II. Location: Austin, TX. Responsibilities: Process purchase orders for indirect procurement. Analyze and communicate relevant data such as vendor quotes, contract and reports. Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate bids from suppliers for price, delivery, quality, and terms and conditions. Work with IT vendor management office. Manage open order base to optimize maximum supplier performance. Assist with cost reduction activities. Priority Skill: Purchasing IT products is a higher priority than semiconductor buying experience. Project Assignment: Will work on creating a contract database that includes all vendors and related details. Technical Skills: SAP Ariba: Nice to have. Excel: Required; intermediate level with ability to use pivoted tables. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree can be substituted by minimum of 4 years' direct work experience. Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience; eight years preferred. Experience in semiconductor manufacturing desired; electronics industry background at a minimum. Experience in standard purchasing practices related to associated manufacturing, documents (BOMs, specifications, etc.). Experience Required: Commodity Buyer with experience purchasing indirect goods (e.g., office furniture, software products, etc.). Ampcus is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
