Job Summary The Procurement & Inventory Specialist oversees the purchasing process and maintains inventory levels to support organizational operations. This role ensures timely procurement of goods and services, accurate inventory tracking, and compliance with company policies, vendor agreements, environmental health and safety (EHS) standards, and Compass Points. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Analyze market conditions, supplier performance, and delivery timelines to determine current and future material availability.
- Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost effectiveness, and reliable delivery.
- Support and participate in contract negotiations with key suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and continuity of supply.
- Ensure suppliers and vendors align with organizational objectives and Compass Points.
- Prepare, review, and issue purchase orders, revisions, and change notices in accordance with company policies.
- Coordinate purchasing, receiving, storing, and handling of materials to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate records in inventory management and MRP systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and arrange for the disposal of surplus or obsolete materials following company guidelines.
- Promote a safe working environment and comply with all safety, EHS, and applicable operational procedures.
- Identify opportunities to engage employees in safety initiatives, process improvements, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Quarterly travel.
- Demonstrate and uphold Compass Points values in daily work activities.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and four to five years of experience in procurement and inventory management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and MRP/inventory systems
- Strong customer service and internal customer interface skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Must attend, complete, and apply all required inhouse training

Annual Salary Range: $67,000 - $75,000.
