Primary Purpose of this Job The primary purpose of this L&D Specialist will play a critical role in supporting ATI's commitment to providing our employees with opportunities to learn and grow, including high impact, high visibility programs. This position will provide key support to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ATI's training programs. The L&D Specialist will also gain exposure to functions throughout the business by partnering on a variety of initiatives. In this fast-paced role, a successful L&D Specialist will be able to effectively manage multiple projects and programs and complete tasks with outstanding attention to detail. It is crucial to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with internal employees, external business partners and subject matter experts. A strong L&D Specialist is also resourceful, proactive, a self-starter and works with a strong desire and energy in helping ensure the success of our programs and initiatives. This role may require some travel to our business unit locations to help coordinate on-site training programs. Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)
- Support needs analysis, provide appropriate solutions, and partner on the execution of hourly training initiatives.
- Design, develop, and maintain presentations or other necessary training materials for any BU need
- Deliver training sessions across various processes and levels, using a variety of methods and tools, such as classroom training, e-learning, and on-the-job training.
- Partner with subject matter experts to create training manuals and job aids.
- Analyze training data and feedback to identify areas of improvement and refine training content and delivery methods.
- Assesses internal training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customers.
- Act as liaison and support all plants training coordinators with certification and recertification of all employees for each skill and the effective tracking of the related records as dictated by compliance, supervision, and company policy.
- Coordinate logistics for training events, including identifying venues, securing necessary space, setting up equipment and materials, planning meals, and refreshments, etc.
- Provide support to other programs and initiatives to enable ATI's learning and development strategy.
- Support Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Education, or related field with at least 3 years of experience is required.
- In lieu of a degree, at least 5 years of teaching or work experience in a Learning and Development role.
- Experience with Instructional Design.
Preferred Qualifications (in addition to Basic Qualifications)
- Prior experience working in Human Resources, specifically in a learning and development focused role.
- Experience with content creation software.
- Prior experience with planning and coordinating events/training programs and Webinar platforms.
- Prior experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) (such as Cornerstone).
- Knowledge and understanding of Adult Learning Principles.
- Experience facilitating formal training sessions with small or large groups delivered in-person or virtually.
- Experience working at or in support of a manufacturing organization.

- Ability to use metrics to influence and drive decision.
- Excellent oral, verbal, and written communication skills with strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Strong ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a variety of cross-functional teams, employees, and subject matter experts.
- Ability to organize events with large groups of hands-on participants.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office suite, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and training systems.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Technical acumen to learn computer systems that are required for program administration (Learning Management System, HRIS, etc.)
- Flexibility to travel to various ATI Business Unit locations to support programs.
- Knowledge in Education Technology- combining IT and Education practices to drive learning outcomes.
