What You'll Do

As an Electronic Test Technician II, you'll support the research, development, and testing of electronic systems and components. You'll work closely with engineers to build, test, troubleshoot, and verify hardware in a lab environment, including high-power and hazardous voltage systems.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain test fixtures for embedded systems



  • Assemble rack hardware, fabricate wire harnesses, and perform soldering and PCB rework



  • Diagnose wiring and board-level issues



  • Support lab operations including parts ordering, shipping/receiving, and equipment setup



  • Execute development and verification test plans



  • Develop and run automated tests using Python, Robot Framework, Selenium, or similar tools



  • Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing (OPAL-RT preferred)



  • Conduct manual and automated verification testing in a high-power lab



  • Triage test failures and document defects



  • Follow all safety procedures to maintain a zero-incident workplace




Required Qualifications


  • Associate degree or technical certificate in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related field



  • 3-6 years of experience in an electronics lab or technical environment



  • Experience using electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers)



  • Strong communication and teamwork skills




Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics or related field



  • Experience with PCB design tools and electronic design software



  • Test management tools experience (JIRA, Zephyr)



  • Programming experience (Python, C)



  • Knowledge of industry standards and electronic testing practices



  • IPC or other electronics certifications
