What this job involves:

  • Prepare and post monthly and ad hoc journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation

  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger

  • Perform monthly account reconciliations including bank reconciliations

  • Prepare monthly funding statements and submit them to the client in a timely manner

  • Manage cash activity, including tracking receipts, monitoring cash balances, and following up on the client payments to ensure timely collection

  • Distribute and communicate financial results to Operations Managers.

  • Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to analyze financial results and gain a full understanding of budget-to-actuals variances

  • Investigate and explain variances providing clear and concise explanations to internal and external stakeholders

  • Assist with month-end close activities and ensure all deadlines are met

  • Ensure the accounts receivable objectives and metrics are met - oversee maintenance and research on AR over 30 days past due

  • Responsible for completion of monthly audit work papers

  • Assist in the creation of the annual plan and monthly rolling forecasts for the client group

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance required; CPA a plus

  • 2+ years of accounting experience, some real estate experience preferred

  • Advanced accounting and analytical skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications required; experience with real estate accounting or JD Edwards E1 knowledge a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated consistency in values, principles and work ethic

  • Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners

  • Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments

  • Understanding of and commitment to client services

  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment

Estimated compensation for this position:

70,000.00 - 80,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
