Automotive Mechanic Technician II This position offers $1,500 New Hire Tool Bonus & $1,000 Sign-on Bonus Do you love working on cars? At Manheim (a Cox Automotive company), we're looking for an Automotive Maintenance Technician II to help get vehicles running smoothly. Keep reading to learn about this opportunity! *This Position with be primarily outside on the Lot Diagnosing and Fixing Vehicles Perform preventive maintenance. Depending upon certification levels, perform various repairs and maintenance. Fit vehicles with the necessary equipment. Follow all safety procedures. Providing highly skilled maintenance and repairs for all vehicles. Performing diagnostics which may include brake components, tires, suspension components, drivability and complete repairs. Performing advanced diagnostics, which may include charging, starting, AC, OBDII, drivability, electrical systems and complete repairs. Completing mechanical inspection including required measurements, which may include interior/exterior components, engine and drive line components, under hood inspection and document deficiencies. Complying with applicable procedures and regulations regarding recyclables, fluids, tires and disposable trash. May up fit new vehicles with necessary equipment. Utilizing approved vendors to obtain parts. May be required to perform OEM recalls. Will Require Travel to other Market Center Auctions when the need arises. Minimum: 3+ years of vehicle service and repair experience. Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles. Valid driver's license and safe driving record. Preferred: High school diploma or GED. Continued training to maintain current A.S.E. status and to meet with technology and fleet changes as they occur. A.S.E. Automotive or Truck Certification, or other related certifications. SMCOX USD 22.02 - 33.08 per hour Compensation: Hourly base pay rate is $22.02 - $33.08/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program. Benefits:** Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
