Job Description: AMA provides technical support to the U.S. Army's Technology Development Directorate (TDD) at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA. This work supports the development, application, and advancement of high-fidelity modeling and simulation tools used in Army rotorcraft acquisition programs, including Future Vertical Lift (FVL). Advanced tools such as CREATE-AV Helios and RCAS are applied to analyze rotorcraft aerodynamics, structural dynamics, and acoustics. These efforts directly contribute to improving aircraft performance, reducing technical risk, and enhancing the safety of current and future Army rotorcraft systems. About the Project: The SME Support to Rotorcraft Software Development and Maintenance role will provide advising, implementation, and support in multiple areas including: 1) software development and maintenance for the RASCAL Development Facility (DF); 2) maintain and modify the Ames Gen Hel model of the UH-60 Black Hawk in support of DF and System Integration Laboratory (SIL) simulations; 3) support development and maintenance of AvMC's flight controls software tools (e.g. CONDUIT, RIPTIDE). Work location will be on-site or near-site at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA. Pay for this position is $180,000 - 200,000 per year commensurate with experience and includes a competitive benefits package. Responsibilities:
