Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning With the Director of FMPI, lead the divisions financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.

Build and maintain detailed financial models in support of strategic initiatives.

Deliver actionable financial insights and recommendations to the Director of FMPI.

  1. Prepare presentations and other materials with strong analytical and visual clarity.
  2. Manage and mentor members of the FMPI team, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
  3. Analyze plan performance versus budget, identifying drivers of variances related to pricing, utilization, and other factors.
  4. Evaluate financial impacts of new program initiatives; conduct scenario planning and develop sensitivity analyses to support decision-making.
  5. Data Analytics With the Director of FMPI, lead the development of analytics frameworks, dashboards and modeling that integrate financial, enrollment, and vendor data.
  6. Analyze historical data and market trends to produce reliable budgets and forecasts.
  7. Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust modeling based on changing business conditions.
  8. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for a variety of audiences.
  9. Partner with the decision support system vendor and actuarial consultants to ensure data integrity, consistency and usability. Identify opportunities to leverage analytics for cost containment, trend management and program optimization.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelors degree in accounting, business, health administration or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university is required. A Masters degree is preferred. Five years of progressive experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial modeling, preferably within healthcare, benefits, insurance and / or the public sector. Demonstrated skills in problem solving and self-motivation. Demonstrated ability to obtain results and multitask in a fast-moving environment with different functional areas. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and develop effective relationships across functions and all levels of management. Demonstrated skills in coaching and leveraging work through others. Oversee the extraction, aggregation and quality assurance of data in support of reporting and quantitative analyses; and the development and performance of vendor accountability activities, including reconciliations and claims reviews.
