This position participates as a vital member of the health care team in providing quality nursing care to CHS patients. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Provide quality nursing care to CHS patients within Arizona State Board of Nursing Licensure guidelines.
- Support CHS clinical operations with a primary focus of serving the students, faculty, and staff of the University.
- Triage, counsel/educate patients regarding self-care symptom treatment both in person and telehealth.
- Provide nursing coverage in a variety of CHS' clinics.
- Assist in ensuring a smooth flow of the department you are scheduled in.
- Preparing patients for exams and/or treatment.
- Assist with phone messages and faxes.
- Patient care functions include but not limited to the following: Medication administration as ordered (injections, oral, IV), EKG's, Nebulizer treatment, Wound care as prescribed, Phlebotomy.
- Explain procedures and treatments to patients.
- Anticipate needs and assist clinicians through nursing assessment skills and education of students.
- Perform nursing techniques and procedures under standing orders and within Arizona State Board of Nursing Licensure guidelines.
- Maintain accurate, precise, and professional charting.
- Involvement in committees and teams as appropriate.
- Other Functions: Other related duties as directed, Attends clinic meetings as scheduled, Complies with ADOSH regulations, Maintains CPR certification.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's Degree with a major in Nursing with three years of nursing experience, or
- Associate degree in nursing, with a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience.
- Licensed in the State of Arizona as a Registered Nurse.

- Experience in college health.
- Experience in in Women's Health.
- Experience working with an electronic medical record.
- Recent experience in COVID-19.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
