Accounts Receivable Collector / AR Specialist *Louisville, KY (Hybrid Eligible After 6 Months)*
*Contract Role | 6Month Assignment to direct hire* *Pay Range: $18.50-$19.00/hour* About the Role We're seeking an experienced *Accounts Receivable Collector / AR Specialist* to join a growing healthcare revenue cycle team. This role is ideal for someone with *providerside medical billing experience* who enjoys problemsolving, payer followup, and working in a structured, professional office environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement by managing claims, resolving rejections, and following up on outstanding accounts across all major payers-including *Medicare and Medicaid*. What You'll Do * Prepare and process *insurance claims* daily, ensuring accuracy and completeness * Submit *electronic claims* to multiple payers * Research denied or rejected claims, make corrections, and resubmit through the clearinghouse * Review *Accounts Receivable aging reports* and follow up on delinquent balances * Investigate and respond to inquiries from payers and external agencies * Track AR issues and resolutions using organized schedules and documentation * Resolve customer and payer inquiries professionally and efficiently * Work independently while collaborating as part of a larger revenue cycle team Schedule & Work Environment *Work Hours:* * Standard shift: *8:00 AM - 4:30 PM* * Two weeks of *onsite daytime training* (100% attendance required) *Work Environment:* * Inoffice revenue cycle department (approximately 60 team members) * Cubiclestyle office setting (not a clinical environment) * Mask optional *Hybrid Opportunity:* * After *6 months*, high performers meeting productivity and quality metrics may qualify for a *hybrid schedule* * Hybrid rotation includes *2-3 workfromhome days per week* * Employees may request preferred WFH days (Mondays and Fridays cannot always be accommodated) What We're Looking For Required: * *1+ year of providerside medical billing experience* * Experience working with *all payer types*, including Medicare and Medicaid * Experience resolving claim rejections through a *clearinghouse* (e.g., Availity, Waystar) * High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: * Medical billing or coding certification * Strong analytical and organizational skills * Excellent written and verbal communication * Ability to think critically and work independently Why This Opportunity? * Join a *fastgrowing healthcare organization* with longterm stability * Be part of a wellstructured revenue cycle team with clear expectations * Opportunity to transition to a *hybrid work model* based on performance * Gain experience with highvolume, multipayer AR processes * Competitive hourly pay and a professional, supportive work environment If you're an experienced AR or billing professional looking for *steady hours, a collaborative team, and future workfromhome flexibility*, this is a great opportunity to take the next step in your revenue cycle career. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00/hr.
