The Analyst for Loss Prevention & Security protects company assets across our restaurant portfolio. Key responsibilities include managing intrusion and fire alarm systems, monitoring video surveillance, and conducting analysis of POS exception reports. This position drives compliance, supports investigations, and identifies fraud and loss trends to safeguard our people, property, and profits. The role provides a structured opportunity for professional development within the disciplines of security and loss prevention, whilecontributing to a collaborative and solutions-oriented team environment.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report on POS activity: Run daily, weekly & monthly exception reports, interpret data to identify irregularities, and highlight potential fraud or theft trends across multiple geographies.
  • Maintain Intrusion alarm systems: Coordinate service requests, assign/delete alarm codes, and verify daily arming compliance in collaboration with General Managers (GMs) and District Managers (DMs). Disseminate weekly/monthly alarm activity reports and update call/contact lists as needed.
  • Retrieve and analyze video surveillance: Pull video clips from NVR/DVR systems to support internal investigations, workers' compensation (WC) and general liability (GL) claim reviews, and law enforcement requests. Maintain log of all external video requests.
  • Document and communicate findings: Prepare clear reports and summaries of alarm activity, video evidence, and POS analysis to support decision-making and corrective actions supporting functional goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate across departments: Partner with Operations, HR, Restaurant Accounting, Treasury, Risk Management, and Legal to provide timely security insights and ensure consistent compliance with company policies to meet goals and objectives.
  • Restaurant field visits and off-site meetings: Conduct periodic visits to area restaurants to verify security compliance, support investigations, and collaborate with field leadership. Attend off-site meetings and trainings to align with job requirements and functional expectations.
  • Recommend preventive measures: Evaluate recurring issues, propose system improvements, and advise leadership on strategies to reduce loss and enhance security.


What we expect from you
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-4 years of related work experience in loss prevention, security operations, fraud analysis, or risk management (multi-location retail or restaurant industry)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret POS exception data and identify fraud/loss patterns
  • Specialized knowledge of loss prevention practices, fraud detection methods, and security system operations (intrusion alarms, fire alarms, NVR/DVR video systems)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal communications, management, and influence skills. Ability to multi-task and manage priorities across company restaurant portfolio
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for working with field leadership, vendors, and law enforcement
  • Ability to maintain the current technical skills needed and ability to prepare clear, concise reports and communicate findings effectively to leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Prior experience conducting field visits and compliance audits to verify security standards and operational integrity
Expected Work Location (In Office): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Wendy's Restaurant Support Center (RSC) (1 Dave Thomas Blvd, Dublin, OH 43017), or at other location(s) as designated by the Company. You are required to work in the office at least 4 days a week. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs. #LI-Onsite

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. The target annual bonus for this role is 7.5% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
