Job Description

This position is Tuesday - Saturday 1st Shift at our Eastlake facility located at 34300 Melinz Parkway.

Objective: X-ray castings, Inspect rough castings, train and maintain supplies

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take radiographic images of castings.
  • Develop film in the processor.
  • Perform specific tests and calibrations and document the results in accordance to specific procedures.
  • Develop and maintain rough casting x-ray techniques.
  • Interpret rough casting x-ray film to customer requirements.
  • Inventory and store x-ray film and chemicals to QEI 17.1 requirements.
  • Mix Chemicals in accordance to instructions.
  • Make, maintain and replace fixtures and film cassettes.
  • Provide Level I training.
  • Pass level I exam.
  • Keep area clean.
  • Perform other duties specified by the supervisor.
  • Adheres to plant and department safety rules.
  • Safely operates all equipment and tools.
  • Identifies and reports safety problems.
  • Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • X-ray level I certification in accordance to NDTQ and NAS-410.
  • Ability to follow instructions read writes and able to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow customer requirements and specifications.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or maneuver objects weighing thirty to fifty pounds
  • Experience in x-ray interpretation is a plus.
  • Must pass annual eye exam.
  • High School graduate or GED required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency of applicable procedure instructions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Meet or exceed defined Visual Acuity (when required).
  • Meet color perception standards needed in performance of job requirements (when required).
